New York Yankees designated hitter Giancarlo Stanton is OK with Brian Cashman after the general manager called him injury-prone.

"He knows my reaction to that," Stanton said Monday, according to Chris Kirschner of The Athletic.

Cashman acknowledged in November that the team had to figure out a way to get the 2017 NL MVP going again after the worst season of his 14-year career.

"We've gotta get Stanton up and running again," Cashman said at the time. "He's injury-prone. We all have lived and known that, but he's never not hit when he's playing, and this year is the first time that that's happened."

Stanton, 34, spent the winter getting his body right.

"It's been the first full healthy offseason in a long time," Giancarlo Stanton said when he arrived at camp, according to Newsday's David Lennon. "That definitely helped with preparation and taking zero time off."

The five-time All-Star added that he focused on being a "lot more movement-based," which would allow him to "be a baseball player again," per Bryan Hoch of MLB.com.

Stanton also said he worked on new changes to his swing, according to Kirschner.

The veteran slugger went deep 24 times with 60 RBIs and a .695 OPS over 101 games last season. He's played a combined 221 contests over the last two seasons due to injuries. Stanton is owed $118 million through 2027.
