Houston Astros reliever Bryan Abreu will be available to pitch in Game 7 of the ALCS.

MLB announced Monday that Abreu's two-game suspension was upheld but that he'll serve his punishment to start the 2024 campaign.

Abreu was banned for two games for intentionally throwing at Texas Rangers outfielder Adolis García in Game 5 on Friday. He pitched in Game 6 after appealing the suspension.

"That was kind of when I was hoping for when I didn't use him in a down game for two innings yesterday. … It's a blessing to have him for today," Astros manager Dusty Baker said, according to Brian McTaggart of MLB.com.

The right-hander has only allowed two earned runs with 13 strikeouts over 7 1/3 innings during the 2023 playoffs. He posted a career-best 1.75 ERA across 72 regular-season appearances.
