Padres' Soto: 'I've never been on a team this talented'
Juan Soto is in awe of the 2023 edition of the San Diego Padres.
The superstar outfielder believes this version of the Padres is the most skilled club he's been a part of during his major-league career.
"We couldn't wait to see (Fernando) Tatis (Jr.) coming back and (to) show what he got. It's just amazing. Having Xander (Bogaerts), too. Incredible team. I've never been on a team this talented," Soto told MLB Network.
San Diego's lineup includes Soto, Tatis, Bogaerts, and Manny Machado while also boasting veteran bats such as Nelson Cruz and Jake Cronenworth.
Meanwhile, the pitching staff is headlined by Yu Darvish, Joe Musgrove, Blake Snell, and Josh Hader.
Soto won a World Series with the Washington Nationals in 2019. That team was led by Soto, Trea Turner, Max Scherzer, and Stephen Strasburg.
