The Minnesota Twins and right-hander Chris Paddack have agreed to a three-year contract extension, reports Dan Hayes of The Athletic.
Paddack's deal is worth $12.5 million in guaranteed money. He also could make upward of $2.5 million through performance bonuses, Hayes adds.

The agreement covers the remainder of Paddack's arbitration years and delays his free agency by one season.
Paddack, who turned 27 last Sunday, only pitched in five games last campaign because of a torn ulnar collateral ligament in his throwing elbow. He underwent Tommy John surgery to repair the damaged ligament last May and is expected to miss a large portion of 2023 while continuing his rehab.
Minnesota acquired Paddack from the San Diego Padres just before Opening Day last April in a five-player trade that sent closer Taylor Rogers out west.
The native of Austin, Texas, owns a lifetime 21-21 record with a 4.20 ERA, 3.94 FIP, and 330 strikeouts across 330 1/3 big-league innings.
