Carlos Carrasco could become the odd man out in Flushing.

The New York Mets are listening to trade offers for the right-hander, Joel Sherman of the New York Post reports.

Carrasco will earn $14 million in 2023, making him a potential short-term bargain for teams in need of starting pitching. However, he's had some recent injury issues, having missed almost a month last year due to an oblique ailment and a large portion of 2021 because of a hamstring strain.

New York now has additional rotation depth after signing Justin Verlander, Jose Quintana, and Kodai Senga during a December spending spree. Depth arms with starting experience, including Tylor Megill, Joey Lucchesi, and David Peterson, could also step into Carrasco's rotation spot.

Carrasco was initially acquired by the Mets alongside Francisco Lindor from Cleveland before the 2021 season. After his first injury-plagued campaign in New York, the 35-year-old emerged as a solid starter behind Max Scherzer and Jacob deGrom this past year. He went 15-7 with a 3.97 ERA, 3.53 FIP, and 152 strikeouts across 29 starts.

Carrasco owns a lifetime 3.87 ERA during parts of 13 seasons in the majors. He finished fourth in AL Cy Young voting in 2017.
