Jose Abreu, White Sox (+1300)
If you're waiting for Abreu to fade into the twilight of his career, keep waiting. The White Sox slugger and 2020 AL MVP finished second in the majors in RBIs (117) a season ago, marking the third straight year he's finished in the top three on the RBI leaderboard.
Abreu paced the majors with 60 RBIs in as many games during the shortened 2020 season, and he nearly did the same last year despite Chicago's myriad injuries that stripped its lineup of its elite scoring potential. Luis Robert, Tim Anderson, and Yoan Moncada are all expected back healthy near the top of the order, which bodes well for the 35-year-old's RBI potential.
Matt Olson, Braves (+1300)
Olson's quiet stardom was often overlooked during his time in Oakland, but the former Athletics star finished seventh in RBIs (111) in 2021 as primarily the No. 3 hitter in the team's good-but-not-great lineup. What can he do in the heart of the Braves' order in 2022?
His production could be hindered if Atlanta slots him into the No. 2 hole, but there's no denying his potential for RBIs surrounded by the likes of Ozzie Albies, Austin Riley, and MVP contender Ronald Acuna Jr., who is expected back sometime in April or May. Olson did more with less in Oakland, and he's a sure bet to linger somewhere near the top of the leaderboard in his new home.
Freddie Freeman, Dodgers (+2500)
When I first checked the RBI leader oddsboard, I was stunned to find Freeman priced outside of the top 15. Is this not the same player who finished third in RBIs in 2019 (121) and a shortened 2020 (53) and just joined arguably the most stacked lineup of his career?
The Dodgers' prized free-agent signing should slot nicely into the heart of the order, which means plenty of scoring opportunities for the likes of Mookie Betts and Trea Turner ahead of Freeman. Of course, the former Braves star has the power to help his own cause, hitting 82 homers in 377 games over the last three seasons.
