New York Mets acting general manager Zack Scott is no longer part of the organization, sources told SNY's Andy Martino.
The club placed Scott on leave in September after he was arrested on DWI charges. Scott subsequently pled not guilty, and his trial is scheduled for Dec. 8, according to Newsday's Tim Healey.
The Mets named the 44-year-old executive acting general manager in January after firing Jared Porter, who was found to have sent explicit and unsolicited images to a reporter in 2016 while he worked for the Chicago Cubs.
New York has already had an offseason of turnover, with the team letting manager Luis Rojas go following the regular season and openly seeking a new president of baseball operations in addition to the now-vacant GM position.
