With the Boston Red Sox precariously occupying the second AL wild-card spot, ace left-hander Chris Sale isn't happy he played a role in losing to the last-place Baltimore Orioles on Tuesday.
"Yeah, that fucking sucked," Sale said, according to Christopher Smith of MassLive.
After surrendering a game-tying two-run home run to Ryan Mountcastle in the sixth inning, Sale was visibly upset at himself.

The Orioles wound up taking the lead in the same inning, with Pedro Severino cashing in Austin Hays on a single off Hansel Robles. Baltimore then tacked on one more run to win 4-2, improving their dismal season record to 51-106.
Sale allowed three runs on four hits and one walk with six strikeouts over 5 1/3 innings, picking up his first loss of the season.
"There's no doubt, we've been dragged through the mud these last four games," Sale continued, according to Alex Speier of the Boston Globe.
Riding a four-game losing streak after losing three straight to the New York Yankees, the Red Sox hold a one-game lead on the second AL wild-card spot with the Toronto Blue Jays and Seattle Mariners within striking distance.
