Major League Baseball and the players' association agreed to extend Los Angeles Dodgers right-hander Trevor Bauer's administrative leave by two weeks, through July 27, a source told MLB Network's Jon Heyman.

MLB initially placed Bauer on admin leave on July 2 after a woman, who accused him of sexual assault, was granted a domestic violence restraining order against him. The league and the Pasadena police department are investigating.

Bauer has repeatedly denied the allegations, and no charges have been filed. He has a formal court hearing to discuss the restraining order on July 23.

MLB and the union must both agree to extend administrative leave. Seven days is normally the maximum amount of time granted for an extension unless the sides mutually agree to a lengthier term.

Bauer, who is currently earning around $1.5 million per week, will continue to receive his salary from the Dodgers while on leave, according to ESPN's Jeff Passan.

The 30-year-old joined Los Angeles as a free agent this past offseason.
