The Houston Astros are among teams interested in right-hander Jake Odorizzi, according to Jon Heyman of MLB Network.

The Astros are in need of a starter after losing left-hander Framber Valdez to a broken finger on his pitching hand.

Meanwhile, Odorizzi, who entered the offseason as one of the top free-agent pitchers, is still looking for a new contract with Opening Day less than a month away.

The 2019 All-Star owns a career 3.92 ERA with 8.6 K/9 over nine seasons in the majors. He's pitched for the Kansas City Royals, Tampa Bay Rays, and Minnesota Twins.

The St. Louis Cardinals, Boston Red Sox, San Francisco Giants, Toronto Blue Jays, New York Mets, Philadelphia Phillies, and Twins have all reportedly been linked to the 30-year-old throughout the offseason.
