Yadier Molina makes pitching debut in Puerto Rican playoff game

Nine-time All-Star catcher Yadier Molina is known for having a cannon behind home plate, but the veteran backstop decided to showcase his arm strength in a different way.
The 38-year-old made his pitching debut for Atenienses de Manati against Indios de Mayaguez during a Puerto Rican playoff game Monday.

With his team trailing 19-7, Molina faced four batters, allowing a home run and striking out one.
The longtime St. Louis Cardinals catcher is an MLB free agent. He recently mentioned the possibility of retiring if he didn't find a suitable contract.
