Kolten Wong is drawing interest from the Toronto Blue Jays after turning down a multi-year contract offer from the St. Louis Cardinals, reports Bob Elliott of the Canadian Baseball Network.
The free-agent second baseman has won two straight Gold Gloves. He hit the open market when the Cardinals declined his $12.5-million option for 2021.
Wong, 30, accrued a 15.3 fWAR over eight seasons with St. Louis.
Cavan Biggio currently plays second for Toronto. However, the 25-year-old can man numerous positions, including third base and the outfield.
The Los Angeles Angels have also reportedly contacted Wong during free agency.
