The Los Angeles Dodgers announced Tuesday that left-hander Julio Urias will start Game 3 of the National League Championship Series on Wednesday against the Atlanta Braves, according to Jorge Castillo of the Los Angeles Times.
Urias will be making his second career postseason start. The southpaw's only other playoff start was in October 2016.
The 24-year-old hasn't allowed an earned run in the 2020 playoffs in two long relief appearances spanning eight innings. He's struck out 11 and walked only one batter.
The Dodgers are going with rookie right-hander Tony Gonsolin in Game 2 after ace Clayton Kershaw was scratched due to back spasms.
Atlanta drew first blood in the best-of-seven series after beating Los Angeles 5-1 in Game 1 on Monday.
