Oakland Athletics executive Billy Beane has a reputation for shying away from attending live games involving his team, and it looks like he's going to stick to his guns for the upcoming American League Division Series.

The A's will travel to Los Angeles and enter a bubble to play the division-rival Houston Astros in a best-of-five series. Beane has no intention of being part of the bubble.

"Are you kidding me? Being stuck there? I can't even imagine," Beane said, according to The Athletic's Tim Kawakami. "I personally can't imagine anything more miserable for myself."

Beane admitted attending big games involving the A's makes him anxious. However, he took in a few innings of Oakland's recent Game 3 triumph over the Chicago White Sox before leaving to run an errand during the crucial final innings.

"I timed it so that the seventh, eighth and ninth, literally, I drove in to pick up my son, he was getting a haircut, and timed it, there's two outs, waiting in the parking lot and Liam (Hendriks) got the third out. So that was it," Beane said.

Oakland opens its series with Houston on Monday at 4:07 p.m. ET. Beane will be watching somewhere, but for how long is still to be determined.

"As of right now I don't have any intentions of going down there. And now they've got to figure out how I'm going to keep an eye on the game," he said.
