An unidentified Cincinnati Reds player has tested positive for COVID-19, sources told Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic.

Saturday's game between the Reds and Pittsburgh Pirates at Great American Ball Park is likely to be postponed, sources told ESPN's Jeff Passan. Cincinnati beat Pittsburgh on Friday.

MLB has already begun contact tracing, according to Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Earlier Friday, MLB announced that there were four positive COVID-19 tests this week, all from the same club. This news came on the heels of the St. Louis Cardinals - who haven't played since July 29 due to an outbreak on their team - announcing that they'll resume their schedule Saturday in Chicago.

The Reds are scheduled to travel to Kansas City for two games after the Pirates series ends Sunday, and then to St. Louis for four.

The Reds reportedly had their plan to allow fans at home games later this season approved by the city of Cincinnati and Hamilton County earlier this week.
