MLB announces 4 positive tests, 29 teams had no cases

Major League Baseball and the MLBPA announced Friday that only four personnel tested positive for COVID-19 out of 12,301 samples in the past week.

MLB said that two of the positives were players and two were staff members, and that all four were from the same team. The St. Louis Cardinals are currently dealing with an outbreak but have been cleared to return to play Saturday.

The league also acknowledged that 29 clubs didn't have any confirmed cases.

MLB has now conducted 66,127 tests overall, with 75 returning positive.
