The Atlanta Braves signed right-handed reliever Darren O'Day to a one-year contract worth $2.25 million with a 2021 club option for $3.5 million, the team announced Friday.
O'Day, 37, only appeared in 28 games over the last two seasons because of hamstring and forearm ailments.
Before injuries slowed him down, O'Day was a dependable late-inning reliever for the Baltimore Orioles for several years, including his 2015 All-Star campaign.
Right-handed hitters have only managed to hit .195 against the submariner in his career.
During 12 big-league seasons, O'Day owns a 36-19 record with a 2.55 ERA, 3.45 FIP, and 1.03 WHIP in 585 games.
