Veteran left-hander Wade Miley was omitted from the Houston Astros' 25-man roster for the American League Championship Series against the New York Yankees, according to Brian McTaggart of MLB.com.
Rookie outfielder Myles Straw was also left off the squad, while right-handers Bryan Abreu and Brad Peacock will be active.
Miley allowed two earned runs on four hits across 2 2/3 innings in one appearance against the Tampa Bay Rays during the ALDS. The 32-year-old went 14-6 with a 3.98 ERA in 33 regular-season starts.
The ALCS begins on Saturday night.
