The Los Angeles Dodgers are reportedly calling up infielder Gavin Lux, a source told Jake Rill of MLB.com.

Lux is the organization's top prospect, and MLB Pipeline ranks him No. 9 overall.

This will be Lux's first call-up to the majors, and he'll start at second base on Monday, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Sunday, according to David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports.

"There’s really not a whole lot of downside," Roberts said on Saturday. "I think the benefits are the at-bat quality, the versatility that he potentially could give you, the speed aspect of it, giving him a runway, getting his feet wet at the big-league level. There’s a lot of upside."

With Max Muncy likely out of action for a couple of weeks after fracturing his hand, Lux should see plenty of playing time in the Dodgers' infield.

The 21-year-old hit .347/.421/.607 with 26 home runs, 25 doubles, and 76 RBIs in 113 minor-league contests this season. His 50-game on-base streak was snapped on Aug. 16.

The Dodgers drafted Lux 20th overall in 2016.
