While many across North America were sleeping, Mike Fiers was making history in Oakland, twirling his second career no-hitter in a 2-0 Athletics win over the Cincinnati Reds.

The 33-year-old's no-no was significant on a number of levels. Let's take a deeper dive into some of the numbers from his historic performance:

35: Pitchers, including Fiers, who have thrown multiple complete-game no-hitters in the major leagues. Fiers' first no-hitter came with the Astros on Aug. 21, 2015, against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

7: Pitchers, including Fiers, who have thrown no-hitters with multiple teams. The other six: Nolan Ryan (Angels, Astros, Rangers); Cy Young (Cleveland Spiders, Boston Americans); Ted Breitenstein (Reds, St. Louis Browns); Jim Bunning (Tigers, Phillies); Randy Johnson (Mariners, D-Backs); Hideo Nomo (Dodgers, Red Sox).

An eighth pitcher, Kevin Millwood, threw a complete-game no-hitter with Atlanta and started a combined no-no for Seattle.

300: Number of no-hitters in MLB history after Fiers' on Tuesday. Other milestone no-nos: George Bradley threw the first in 1876; Carl Hubbell threw No. 100 in 1929; Dennis Eckersley had No. 200 in 1977.

6.81: Fiers' 2019 ERA entering Tuesday's start - the highest ever for a pitcher who'd thrown at least 25 innings entering his no-hitter.

5.48: Fiers' ERA following his no-hitter.

98: The number of minutes by which lighting issues at the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum delayed the start of Tuesday's game.

364: Days between MLB's two most recent no-hitters. James Paxton - then with Seattle - tossed a no-hitter on May 8, 2018.

2: Career complete games for Fiers. He's the only pitcher in MLB history to have thrown no-hitters in his only complete games.

131: Pitches thrown by Fiers on Tuesday. It's the most pitches thrown in a complete-game no-hitter since ... Fiers threw 134 pitches in his first no-no.

5: Total walks surrendered by Fiers in his two no-hitters (two on Tuesday, three in 2015). He's is the only pitcher with recorded pitch counts to allow three or fewer walks in multiple no-hit games while throwing more than 130 pitches each time.

11,974: Attendance in Oakland on Tuesday, the smallest crowd for a no-hitter thrown this century.

13: No-hitters in Athletics franchise history dating to 1901. Eight of those were thrown by the Oakland A's; the other five happened when the team played in Philadelphia.

11: No-hitters thrown at the Oakland Coliseum, tied with the original Yankee Stadium for the third-most at any MLB ballpark. Only Dodger Stadium (12) and Fenway Park (14) have hosted more.

10,161: Days since the Athletics were no-hit, the longest active streak in MLB. Oakland pitchers have thrown three no-hitters during this run.

6: No-hitters thrown during interleague play (not counting Don Larsen's perfect game in the 1956 World Series). The author of the last two regular-season interleague no-nos? None other than Mike Fiers.
