The National League champion Los Angeles Dodgers are targeting the free-agent outfielder, according to The Athletic's Ken Rosenthal, whose sources tell him the two sides are discussing a contract.

Pollock could provide the Dodgers with right-handed balance and an option to play center field. Los Angeles' projected lineup heading into next season predominantly hits from the left side.

The 31-year-old Pollock has been a popular target this offseason and has reportedly received interest from the Atlanta Braves and New York Mets.

He's reportedly seeking a deal in the five-year, $80-million range, but has only appeared in 237 games since the beginning of 2016 due to injuries.

When he's on the field, Pollock is productive. He owns a career slash line of .281/.338/.467 with 74 home runs, 264 RBIs, and 103 steals.

Defensively, the Gold Glove winner is a plus-52 in defensive runs saved in more than 4,900 innings in the outfield during a seven-year career.
