Chicago White Sox manager Rick Renteria was released from a hospital in Minneapolis on Tuesday after undergoing tests for an episode of lightheadedness prior to a game against the Twins on Monday, the team announced.

Tests performed on the 56-year-old skipper didn't show any issues, a team official told The Associated Press on Monday.

Renteria will spend the night in Minnesota before returning to Chicago on Wednesday to undergo further testing at the Rush University Medical Center.

Bench coach Joe McEwing will act as manager for the White Sox during Renteria's absence.

Renteria replaced Robin Ventura as manager of the White Sox in 2017.
