Chicago Cubs right-hander Yu Darvish exited his rehab start for Class A South Bend on Sunday after just one inning.

He threw 19 pitches in the first, touching 94.7 mph, but exited after throwing a curveball while warming up for the second inning, according to MLB.com's Matthew Martell.

"I feel most disappointed (out) of everyone in the world," Darvish said, according to Steve Greenberg of the Chicago Sun-Times.

Darvish added that he wanted to undergo another MRI because the pain he experienced was similar to what he felt in his last rehab start.

The 32-year-old hurler was diagnosed with a right elbow impingement and inflammation at the end of June while he recovered from right triceps tendinitis.

Darvish signed a six-year, $126-million contract in February and has been on the disabled list since late May.

He's made eight starts for the Cubs, posting a 4.95 ERA.
