Jansen likely to undergo 2nd heart surgery after season

Upon returning to the clubhouse Monday, Los Angeles Dodgers closer Kenley Jansen said there's a good chance he will need a second heart surgery in the offseason, according to ESPN.

Jansen was hospitalized Thursday for an irregular heartbeat, and was subsequently recently ruled out for about a month. The 30-year-old had a similar procedure done in 2012, and said he is confident he'll be able to pitch again this season.

Jansen is tied for the National League lead with 32 saves in 2018, and has crafted a 2.15 ERA with 61 strikeouts across 54.1 innings pitched.
