Albert Pujols hit the 610th home run of his already-illustrious career Tuesday night, surpassing Sammy Sosa for most MLB home runs by a foreign-born player.
The three-time MVP and future Hall of Famer took Nick Gardewine deep in the seventh inning to propel the Los Angeles Angels into double-digit runs against the Texas Rangers.
While this season has been one of many milestones for Pujols, the slugger is slashing .231/.277/.384 in what may be the first campaign in which he hits below the league average.
