Rangers' Gomez hits 2nd career cycle on son Yandel's birthday

April 29 was already a special day in the life of Yandel Gomez - it is his birthday, after all - and his proud papa, Texas Rangers outfielder Carlos Gomez, made sure that Yandel will never forget this year's celebrations.
The elder Gomez hit for the cycle for the second time in his career in Saturday's 6-3 victory over the Los Angeles Angels, and it's now pretty clear where his motivation for the performance came from. After the game, the 31-year-old took to Instagram and dedicated his cycle to young Yandel, who was surely beaming with pride after watching dad give him a pretty fantastic birthday present.
Gomez previously hit for the cycle on May 7, 2008, while a member of the Minnesota Twins.
