Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Keon Broxton was arrested early Friday on a misdemeanor trespass charge, reports Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times.
Broxton, 26, was arrested at 3:26 a.m. ET after refusing to leave the scene of a fight as police began dispersing a large crowd. He was booked at 5 a.m. and released at 8 a.m. on a $500 bond.
Brewers general manager David Stearns released a statement, acknowledging the club is aware of the incident.
"We are aware of the news regarding Keon Broxton and are currently gathering information," he said. "We will defer further comment until we know more about the situation.”
Broxton was reportedly "extremely intoxicated" and had "visible injuries to his face, but declined medical attention."
When officers asked Broxton to leave the scene, he reportedly "became upset and began yelling 'Y'all ain't s--- behind your badges.'"
Broxton saw his rookie season end in September, after suffering a broken wrist.
