Epstein 'going on a bender' after Cubs' World Series win

Theo Epstein has now broken the two most famous curses and droughts in sports. He's earned some time off.

In a celebratory visitors clubhouse at Progressive Field after his Chicago Cubs' epic 8-7 win over the Cleveland Indians to claim their first World Series in 108 years, Epstein went into a little detail about how he plans to unwind from the high of winning over the next 30 days .

"I told (general manager) Jed (Hoyer) he's in charge for the next month. I'm going on a bender," the Cubs' president declared to MLB.com's August Fagerstrom.

Before going on to douse actor and noted Cubs enthusiast Bill Murray in champagne, Epstein made sure to note just how incredible Wednesday's 10-inning affair was for him to watch in the stands.

"This is a top-three game of all time," he proclaimed. "I think I died about six times."
