Tigers' Matt Boyd: Takes no-decision against White Sox
Boyd allowed two runs on seven hits and two walks with three strikeouts over just four innings in a no-decision Monday against the White Sox.
Analysis:
Boyd allowed the first two batters in the fifth inning to reach, but luckily for him, reliever Alex Wilson was able to strand them. The 25-year-old lefty induced 11 swinging strikes, but allowed plenty of contact as well. Boyd has shown flashes of brilliance, but due to his inconsistency, his ERA sits at a middling 4.00.
