Have yourself a day, Josh Donaldson.
The reigning American League MVP put on a show at Rogers Centre on Sunday afternoon, recording the first three home-run game of his career against the Minnesota Twins.
Donaldson left the yard in three of his four official at-bats. In his first plate appearance the Toronto Blue Jays third baseman fouled a pitch off his knee and looked to be in intense pain, but stayed in the game after a visit from the trainer. He proceeded to homer in the third, seventh, and eighth innings.
Watch: Fans make it rain after Donaldson's HR hat trick
It's the 21st three-homer game in Blue Jays history, and the second this season. Michael Saunders recorded a home-run hat trick on June 17 in Baltimore.
