Mr. President knows his hashtags.

During the World Series champion Kansas City Royals' visit to the White House on Thursday, President Barack Obama took a moment to acknowledge the #Yosted hashtag - in honor of manager Ned Yost - that trended during their remarkable run to the 2015 title.

Royals fans began using the hashtag in 2014 to mock the manager for what was perceived to be poor decision-making; often, the team seemed to win in spite of Yost's moves.

When Obama wasn't busy dropping baseball lingo, he took time to praise the Royals for winning their first World Series title in 30 years. The Royals, in turn, presented the 44th president with his own gold-numbered No. 44 Royals jersey - which he accepted despite being a well-known supporter of the division rival Chicago White Sox.
