On Fourth of July weekend, the two just go together. The Pittsburgh Pirates manager was spotted rocking out to the Grand Funk Railroad classic "We're An American Band" prior to Saturday's game against the Oakland Athletics.
Obviously the wild shirtless lyrics of Mark Farner and competent drum work of Don Brewer got both Hurdle and his team pumped up for game time, as the Pirates went on to take a 4-2 extra-innings win. Now that's worth dancing over.
