Nice midfielder Hatem Ben Arfa produced an incredible individual effort to make it 1-0 against Caen on Saturday.

The Frenchman had his Newcastle United contract terminated in January after Hull City ended a loan deal early. He then returned to his homeland with Nice.

However, FIFA stipulates that players can only play in "official matches" for two different clubs over the course of the season, and although he hadn't appeared for the Newcastle first team that season, FIFA ruled that a Newcastle Under-21 game counts as a competitive game.

Ben Arfa was therefore unable to play until this season.

It seems the 13-time France international is making up for lost time, scoring a penalty in Nice's second game of the campaign last Saturday, and then scoring this Lionel Messi-esque effort the week after.
