Verstappen rolls to win at inaugural Miami Grand Prix
Red Bull's Max Verstappen earned another checkered flag with victory at the inaugural Miami Grand Prix.
It's the defending champion's second consecutive win.
Ferrari's Charles Leclerc, who started in pole position, finished second, while teammate Carlos Sainz earned the final podium spot.
Verstappen was in control for most of the afternoon. The Dutchman passed Leclerc on Lap 9 and held him off from there, eventually winning by over three seconds.
Despite little doubt about the result, Formula 1's first foray into South Beach came with its fair share of drama. McLaren's Lando Norris and AlphaTauri's Pierre Gasly were forced to retire after their collision on Lap 41, which brought the safety car out for several laps.
Sebastian Vettel and Mick Schumacher then made contact with two laps to go, ending both drivers' hopes of earning points at the Miami International Autodrome.
