Hamilton secures 100th career pole ahead of Spanish Grand Prix

Lewis Hamilton made history Saturday, securing the 100th pole position of his illustrious career ahead of the Spanish Grand Prix in Barcelona.
The Mercedes driver was followed by Red Bull's Max Verstappen and teammate Valtteri Bottas.

"I can't believe we're at 100," Hamilton said after qualifying. "It's down to the men and women back at the factory; it's been a dream to work with these guys. Who would have thought at the end of 2012 we'd be at 100? I'm ecstatic. It's like my first."
Hamilton, 36, secured his first pole at the Canadian Grand Prix in 2007 when he drove for McLaren. He won that race for the first Formula 1 victory of his career.
