Robin van Persie's agent denies client agreed to terms with Fenerbahce
Put the kebabs on hold.
In conversation with Voetbal International, Robin van Persie's agent, Kees Voss, insisted that his client "has not found a new club" and will report for training at Manchester United on Monday.
"If Robin had found a new club, we would have announced it," Voss said, according to Manchester Evening News. "All I can say that tomorrow Robin will be back at Manchester United to report for the first training session."
It was reported on Saturday that van Persie had agreed to personal terms on a four-year deal with Fenerbahce and that the only obstacle remaining was a transfer fee. Voss had apparently been in Istanbul in order to complete the deal.
The 31-year-old forward experienced a disastrous and injury-riddled Premier League season in 2014-15, scoring only two goals after the beginning of the calendar year and missing over two months due to an ankle injury.
