Former Republic of Ireland midfielder Liam Miller died Friday from pancreatic cancer aged 36. Miller was diagnosed in November 2017.

A Celtic academy product, Miller made the jump to first-team football with the Bhoys before spells in England with Manchester United, Leeds, Sunderland, and Queens Park Rangers. The midfielder then returned to Scotland to join Hibernian prior to a stretch in Australia's top flight with the Perth Glory, Brisbane Roar, and Melbourne City.

Capped 21 times by Ireland, Cork-born Miller was an influential member of the youth setup before becoming a favourite of former national team boss Giovanni Trapattoni.
