Leicester snatches Polish teen Kapustka on 5-year deal

Leicester City announced Wednesday its fifth major signing of the summer transfer window, securing the services of Polish teen Bartosz Kapustka on a five-year deal from Cracovia.

Kapustka joins the reigning Premier League champ for a reported fee of £7.5 million on the heels of a breakthrough performance at Euro 2016, according to a statement on Leicester's website.

The 19-year-old made four appearances at the quadrennial tourney for quarter-finalists Poland, including a noteworthy 88-minute display in the group opener against Northern Ireland after scoring on his international debut against Gibraltar in 2015.

The 11-time capped winger meets up with his new teammates in Stockholm ahead of Wednesday's International Champions Cup tilt with Barcelona.

Kapustka will sport the No.14 kit, and becomes the club's latest signing of the summer transfer window following the arrivals of Luis Hernandez, Ron-Robert Zieler, Nampalys Mendy, and Ahmed Musa.

Typically employed on the left flank, Kapustka's signing will do little to quell speculation that PFA Player of the Year Riyad Mahrez is slated for an exit from the King Power Stadium. Foxes gaffer Claudio Ranieri conceded last week that his star attacker was distracted by reports of a move to Arsenal.
