In their search for midfield reinforcements following Rodri's high-profile move to Barcelona, Manchester City asked Crystal Palace about the possibility of signing Adam Wharton.

However, the Eagles were quick to inform them that the 22-year-old Englishman isn't available for a transfer this summer. (The Athletic)

Baleba deal is close: Manchester United are finally closing in on a deal to sign longtime midfield target Carlos Baleba. Their offer worth around £65 million is below Brighton's valuation, but the clubs have a good relationship and are engaged in "amicable" talks to reach an agreement. (The Athletic)

Gala going big: Galatasaray have offered Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes a contract worth £18.3 million per season, which would double his wages.
