VIDEO: Szczesny makes huge save to keep Roma in Champions League

Roma goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny prevented a catastrophe from unfolding at the Stadio Olimpico during Wednesday's Champions League match against BATE Borisov.

Szczesny produced a magnificent save in the 68th minute as BATE striker Mikhail Gordeichuk tried to steal an away goal from close range.

Roma needed a result better or equal to fellow Group E contender Bayer Leverkusen to reach the last 16.

Szczesny allowed that to happen. The match in Rome finished 0-0, while Leverkusen could only tie Barcelona 1-1.
