Bouchard agreed to date with Twitter stranger if Patriots won Super Bowl
Eugenie Bouchard jumped the gun.
With the Atlanta Falcons up 21-3 versus the New England Patriots midway through the Super Bowl, the Canadian tennis star assumed the game was over.
I knew Atlanta would win btw

One awfully optimistic tweeter made the following proposal:
@geniebouchard if patriots win we go on a date?

Since the chances of that happening were slim to none, Bouchard agreed.

As the Patriots mounted a comeback, the 22-year-old admitted to growing nervous.
Umm...kinda... 😳 https://t.co/LDkMxvPrkx

To Bouchard's horror, New England went on to score 31 straight points en route to a 34-28 victory in overtime. A woman of her word, she hit up the person whom she owes a date.
So...where do you live? https://t.co/mfucQ0C9VL

@geniebouchard Chicago. Go to school in Missouri. We can go on a date where ever you want! 😜

On the bright side, she did learn from the fiasco.
Lesson learned. Never bet against Tom Brady 😇
