Steven Defour will not play in Belgium's Round of 16 match after being shown a red card for a nasty challenge on Korea Republic's Kim Shinwook in the 45th minute.
Defour came in hard and with his studs up, and he appeared to stomp on his opponent's ankle. Regardless of his intentions, it's a reckless play and one that's deserving of severe punishment.
Defour didn't offer a protest to the referee's ruling, instead walking off the pitch in silence.
