Cristiano Ronaldo made his last World Cup appearance in Portugal's 1-0 loss to Spain on Monday.
Although the decorated striker hasn't yet announced his retirement from the national team, the 41-year-old has said multiple times that this summer's tournament will be his final World Cup, and he won't play in a seventh edition of the competition in 2030.
Ronaldo never won the World Cup with Portugal - he never even played in a final - but he left his mark on several occasions since making his tournament debut in 2006.
Here are the five best World Cup moments of his career.
5. History vs. Morocco
Ronaldo became the highest European scorer of all time with an unstoppable header against Morocco in 2018. Of course, he delivered his signature "Siuuu" celebration afterward, making that moment even more iconic for Portugal.

4. Brace vs. Uzbekistan
There was a lot of pressure on Ronaldo before his second group-stage match this year. His spot in the starting XI was in question after Portugal's disappointing 1-1 draw with DR Congo. Then, he stepped up with two goals versus Uzbekistan, helping Portugal get back on track with a 5-0 victory and making history along the way.
Ronaldo became the first man to score in six different World Cups and the oldest player with a World Cup brace (41 years and 138 days old). He also passed Eusebio to become Portugal's all-time scoring leader at the tournament, and joined an exclusive list of players to ever hit double figures in career goals at the men's tournament.

3. Maiden World Cup goal
Ronaldo made his World Cup debut in 2006 at age 21. He found the net for the first time at the quadrennial event in Portugal's second group-stage game that year, punishing Iran from the penalty spot in the 80th minute.

Ronaldo's first appearance in 2006 remains his best run at the World Cup, as Portugal finished fourth.
2. THAT Croatia game
Ronaldo's lack of goals in the knockout stage was one of the main storylines in this year's World Cup. But he finally snapped the drought during a 2-1 victory over Croatia in the round of 32 this summer, converting a penalty in the 68th minute. That was his 11th (and final) World Cup goal.

1. Hat-trick vs. Spain
We all remember this one, don't we?
Ronaldo had a performance for the ages during Portugal's thrilling 3-3 draw with Spain in 2018. Spain had a second-half lead despite Ronaldo's first two goals - one thanks to a brutal David De Gea mistake - but the Portugal captain wouldn't let his country go home with a loss.
He converted a superb free-kick in the 88th minute to single-handedly deny Spain a comeback victory.
