Not even a friendly Canadian tickle can cheer up Koen Verweij

Canadian speed skater Denny Morrison jokingly claimed on Twitter that he tried to cheer up fellow medal winner Koen Verweij of the Netherlands on the podium for the men's 1,500m race, but it was all for naught.

After first thinking that he'd won the event in the final pairing of the day, then being told he finished three one-thousandths of a second away from a gold medal, you have to feel for the poor orange gremlin. It's definitely going to take more than a tickle to make Verweij feel better.
