The Toronto Tempo will be without guard Brittney Sykes and forward Aneesah Morrow for the remainder of the 2026 season due to injuries.
Both players were hurt in Toronto's 82-79 victory over the Portland Fire on Friday.
Sykes injured her foot early in the matchup and exited to the locker room within the first two minutes. The injury was not a re-aggravation of the plantar fascia issue that recently sidelined her for two months, head coach Sandy Brondello said Sunday, according to TSN's Chelsea Leite.
Morrow, who was playing in just her seventh game for the franchise after arriving in a trade from the Connecticut Sun last month, sustained an injury to her right knee in the second quarter.
Following Sunday's matchup against the Las Vegas Aces, the Tempo will have seven games remaining in their inaugural regular season. They have already been mathematically eliminated from postseason contention.
