The Chicago Sky have acquired one of the stars of March Madness.
UCLA wing Gabriela Jaquez is Chicago-bound after she was selected with the No. 5 overall pick in the 2026 WNBA Draft.
No player improved their draft stock during the NCAA Tournament like Jaquez. She scored a game-high 21 points and 10 rebounds while shooting 8-of-14 from the field in UCLA's national championship victory over South Carolina.
Jaquez has a high-level motor and is happy to do the dirty work. She makes excellent off-ball cuts, and her ability to play multiple roles suggests she'll thrive in the pro game as the WNBA increasingly trends toward positionless play. Jaquez is the sister of Miami Heat forward Jaime Jaquez Jr.
