Dallas Wings forward Satou Sabally was named the WNBA's Most Improved Player, the league announced Thursday.

Sabally received 37 of 60 votes from a national panel of sportswriters and broadcasters.

Jordin Canada of the Los Angeles Sparks finished second with 18 votes, while Alanna Smith of the Chicago Sky got three votes.

Sabally averaged 18.6 points, 8.1 rebounds, 4.4 assists, and 1.8 steals over 38 regular-season contests. The former No. 2 pick made strides as a shooter, knocking down a career-high 36.1% of her 3-point attempts.

Her strong play helped the Wings complete a two-game first-round sweep of the Atlanta Dream. It was the club's first playoff series victory since it relocated to the Lone Star State in 2016.

Dallas will take on the top-seeded Las Vegas Aces in the WNBA semifinals.
