The Asociacion Paraguaya de Futbol is rolling the dice on Francisco "Chiqui" Arce once again.
On Tuesday, Arce was appointed as Paraguay's manager for the second time, filling the vacancy left by Ramon Diaz, who resigned after La Albirroja's group-stage exit at the Copa America Centenario.

Arce represented Paraguay as a player at the 1998 World Cup and 2002 World Cup, and subsequently made the move to management. He was appointed as La Albirroja's manager in 2011 following a spell at Rubio Nu, but survived less than one year in a classic example of an inexperienced coach trying to change too much too soon.
Arce's second spell will begin on Saturday, when he is officially presented.
