SEC to begin men's conference play Dec. 29, 30

SEC commissioner Greg Sankey announced Friday that the SEC's men's conference hoops season will begin Dec. 29 and 30, while the women will begin play Dec. 31 as originally scheduled.

The men's 2020-21 SEC schedule will consist of 18 games while the women are slated to play 16 conference contests this upcoming season. The SEC-Big 12 Challenge is set to take place in late January.

The SEC will begin non-conference play Nov. 25 along with the majority of schools. Teams can begin conducting preseason practice Oct. 14.
