Giuseppe Rossi takes pay cut as Fiorentina restructures contract

Fiorentina confirmed on Tuesday that it has renegotiated the contract of Giuseppe Rossi, with the striker giving up a part of his annual wages as a show of gratitude to a club that stuck with him through injuries.
The deal, which still runs through 2017, pays him less than his initial salary of €2.4 million but offers more performance-related bonuses.
The 28-year-old has dealt with chronic knee problems. He has made just 28 official appearances for La Viola since joining them in 2013.
